Aren’t consultants expensive?
If consultants are so expensive, why shouldn’t I just hire someone full time?

On a per hour basis a consultant is more expensive than an employee. A typical large consulting firm with high overhead must bill their consultants at 4-5 times the hourly rate you might pay an employee with similar skills and experience. How can I control the cost of a project using consultants?
When the project is clearly defined, the consultants we represent will quote fixed or not to exceed prices. In other cases where the project cannot be easily defined, the consultants that we represent will provide clear milestones or goals that must be met before continuing to the next phase of the project.

The quality of the report does not measure the success of project. In order for a consultant to be effective, you and the consultant must be partners. Success is measured by the quality of the implementation. If you do not take an active role in the process and if the project is not fully supported by management and staff, nothing will change. The consultants that we represent understand the importance of a collaborative implementation.
